EMS delivery time (5 days) from China to USA - USPS tracking

Most sellers from China usually made an up selling promised for buyers to use EMS (Express Mail Service) which stated that it will arrived
within 5 business days. That is actually far from true - but inexperience people usually fall to believe as they have never done it before.

Usually when the item is shipped by EMS the tracking information is then available in the USPS tracking page although the item is not yet
physically arrived in the USA. The EMS will provide the tracking information to the USPS beforehand once they have processed and registered the item for delivery / shipment. This is normal practice by EMS even if it is ship to other countries for example UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

However having the item available for tracking does not meant that it will arrived soon and 5 working days is only estimate by the shipper.
Although sometimes it does arrived as stated but in most cases it is more than 5 working days. As there are so many procedures that stand in the way during shipment such as EMS paper works bureaucracy (procedure), flight delay, US custom clearance, etc. All these factors happens everyday everywhere in the world.

And the US customs clearance are very strict especially when the item is coming from China which could take 1 or 2 days due to bootleg, counterfeit, pirated item checking.So all in all probably around 10 days more or less that would be more reasonable for delivery. One more thing about EMS tracking sometimes it doesn't get updated very often and you may see the status location of the item not updated for a few days. Don't worry it's normal unless it is unchanged for too long then perhaps just contact the shippers.

As you can see the example above the item before the item left china it already takes a 5 days within China (from 26 April to 1 May 2017). The item just left China on the May 01 2017. So when it reaches the USA - then it will have to go through customs clearance. This does not guarantee if the package will go through depending on the nature of the item. Otherwise it will be seized by customs officer. If the item goes through then it will be registered in USPS system and ready for delivery to the intended address.
