I sent the above package in November 2014 from USA to Freetown, Sierra Leone and the USPS tracking system says it went via France Post Office but from France, it has not reached its final destination and was never returned to USA. Where did France Postal Service sent it, there is no trace.
Hi Don it will not be sent to france post office. The status transit in france does not meant it is hand over to france post office but rather it's just status that it is being transit in france.
Your package seems to have long-due since november last year and i believe this has already consider lost.
It should be trackable in Sierra Leone post office by now if it ever arrived there. But seems to be the Sierra leone post office online is not accessible.
To be honest from all the comments the african continents is one of the worst part to sent item to especially country like sierra leone where the postal service facility are lacking. Even when the item arrived in that country it has high chances to be lost. Imagine sometimes they don't even have transport to send the item.
